Shift Change Action Day

Today, on October 12, 2023, workshops for people with disabilities from all over Germany are opening their doors to facilitate a change in perspective. As part of the nationwide Shift Change Day event, employees from these workshops and staff from general labor market companies are swapping workplaces for a day, experiencing the concept of inclusion from a fresh vantage point. This promotes openness and helps to get a closer look at the diversity of products and services provided in workshops for people with disabilities.

SPIR STAR is also taking part in this initiative. Thanks to our close collaboration with the Fürth Disabled Workshop, our employee, Simone Weber, had the opportunity to spend half a day in the workshop as part of the project in September. There, she familiarized herself with the premises and workstations. In the afternoon, she visited our company with an employee from the Bergstrasse Disability Assistance and his caregiver.
